Our Methodology

A Tradition of Reinvention

Founded in 2017, Culinary Institute of Barcelona carries forward the avant-garde spirit of Catalan cuisine that reshaped modern gastronomy. Rather than teaching students to follow recipes, CIB brings Silicon Valley’s challenge-driven approach to the kitchen: real-world challenges replace exams, and chefs learn to create, lead, and build businesses of their own.

Global Network

We Partner with Kitchens in 25+ Countries

Through internship agreements with 200+ restaurants, including 40+ with a Michelin star, CIB takes students from the classroom into professional kitchens around the world.

Placements of three, six, or 12 months are matched to each student’s goals and supervised by CIB.
